Hello, my name is Cindy Porcell.

Cindy was born and raised in Southern California. It was there that she & her husband raised their twins & she still resides in their hometown today.

When she is not in her garden & working part time at the community hospital, she is in her studio painting.

As far back as she can remember, art has always been a part of her soul. She is a self taught artist dabbling in many forms of medium. Her passion is oil but is also known in the community for arcrylic pet portraits either on canvas or on stones/rocks. She has painted murals on Church backgrounds for children’s classrooms, concrete walls for friends & children’s bedrooms too.

When she was a little girl, she dreamed of being a cartoonist for Disney Studios & still to this day is known by her friends & family to draw them caricatures that makes them smile.

She took many classes at Glendale Community College & it was there that she discovered that her favorite style is contemporary realism.

Art to her, is a healing part of being. She believes that inside of everyone is an artist waiting to come out. “ It is not the results that is important”, she says, “ but the process of being fully immersed in it and it becomes a therapeutic tool like yoga or meditation”. She hopes if anything, that her art makes people stop & forget their troubles long enough to feel a sense of balance & centeredness.
